This with the purpose of informing educational and social institutions regarding their approach, as well as generating discussion about the transformation of language and projections regarding this topic, in special because of the incorporation of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). This documentary review is expected to promote the monitoring of regulations in real contexts since, in addition to describing the main contributions, relevant aspects are identified regarding the target populations.A través de este artículo, se realiza un recorrido cronológico respecto a las políticas de educación inclusiva en Colombia; específicamente, aquellas dirigidas a estudiantes con disCAPACIDAD1 ; iniciándose con la Constitución Política Nacional y finalizando con las reglamentaciones recientes. Esto, con el propósito de informar a instituciones educativas y sociales en cuanto a su planteamiento, así como generar discusión con referencia a la transformación del lenguaje y las proyecciones respecto al tema; en especial, por la incorporación del Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje (DUA).
