The assumed theoretical presupposition is that the right to health protection is not limited only in the derived right to receive from the State a set of health benefits. In methodological terms, it is a study that promotes a review of existing literature on the subject. The content investigated is divided into eleven topics, eight of them devoted to the derived rights of the constitutional content of the right to health protection. It concludes taking into account the effectiveness, applicability and justiciability of this right in the light of careful examination of each derived right.O estudo que se segue tem por objetivo analisar os subdireitos ou direitos derivados componentes do conteúdo constitucional do direito fundamental à proteção da saúde na perspectiva lusobrasileira. O pressuposto teórico assumido é o de que o direito à proteção da saúde não se esgota somente no subdireito a receber-se do Estado um conjunto de prestações sanitárias. Em termos metodológicos, trata-se de um estudo que promove uma revisão da literatura existente sobre o tema e que divide o conteúdo investigado em onze tópicos, sendo oito deles dedicados aos subdireitos integrantes do conteúdo constitucional do direito à proteção da saúde.
