Summary: The following study aims to analyze the derived rights that are the stuff of the constitutional content of the fundamental right to health protection in the Portuguese-Brazilian perspective. The assumed theoretical presupposition is that the right to health protection is not limited only in the derived right to receive from the State a set of health benefits. In methodological terms, it is a study that promotes a review of existing literature on the subject. The content investigated is divided into eleven topics, eight of them devoted to the derived rights of the constitutional content of the right to health protection. It concludes taking into account the effectiveness, applicability and justiciability of this right in the light of careful examination of each derived right.
