The new regulations on data protection and guarantee of digital rights enables collective
bargaining to role all issues related to the treatment of workers’ personal data in two ways.
First, setting specific rules to each business reality to specify the right of digital disconnection
and the exercise of the business control respect to digital rights. Second, establishing additional
guarantees for special categories of data and the treatment of sensitive data of workers that
reinforce the fundamental right not to be discriminated. To achieve these goals it would be
opportune that collective agreements incorporate specific Protocols to provide greater security
and protection to the fundamental rights. |
