Summary: Trade unionism must face the future marked by technological advances and their application to the production process and the emergence of digital platforms. To do so, it must start by nurturing collective bargaining with new content such as the right to digital disconnection or data protection, but also developing strategies to face the growth of autonomous work, the increasing dilution, fragmentation and dispersion of work that the digital platforms operate, the lack of strong professional identities or the bipolarity of the workforce. In this context, the use of technology by the unions to create networks of workers and forms of collective action supported and amplified by social networks can reconstruct spaces and bonds of solidarity that technology itself has helped to blur.
