Summary: |
This paper is a result of the Pedagogy and Peace research by the National Universityof Colombia that has been applied in public schools of Bogota. This researchpresents a need to seek to define Peace using different tools, experiences andfields of knowledge. Therefore, the article approaches “peace” from the Lacanianpsychoanalytic theory and from the political theory of Ernesto Laclau, regardingthe Colombian political context. It has taken into account, the importance of theend of internal armed conflict and the presidential elections of 2018 which arekeys to understand the Colombian national political debate. In addition, it is statedthat subject emerged when he/she gets into the symbolic order. As a result, emptysignifiers are produced, so that, they allow ideological debates to come up aimingto be hegemonic. To exemplify this statement, this paper focuses on speeches ofJuan Manuel Santos Calderón and Álvaro Uribe Vélez about “peace”. Consequently,it can be established that “peace” is an empty significant and is a scenario of ideologicaland political debate. The controversy about “peace” involves the end of the armed conflict in Colombia and the future of the upcoming elections. To conclude,it should be noted that there are counter hegemonic and subaltern discourses thatalthough construct identities and resistance against capitalism, they are found indifferent scenarios than limited by the State ones. |
