Summary: |
Presidentialism is successful as a result of the structures and functionality of federal institutions, as well as the high economic and political control it exerts on state goverments, despite the support it requires from its governors. This lays the foundation of an alternative to politcal empowerment of the President of the Republic, encouraging the creation of a political system in the states for political decision making in regards of the federal interests, known as governmentalism.
The National Confederation of Governors (CONAGO) is a result of the presence of governmentalism: state executives willing to govern with all the power in federative entities, like presidentialism in Mexico. |
