The Consumer regulation added further complexity with the introduction of the "legal warranty" (Law 1480/2011), that brought improved consumer rights protection but also created gaps and inconsistencies within the existing legal system.El ordenamiento colombiano, como la mayoría con la misma tradición jurídica, otorga una serie de medios de tutela a favor del acreedor cuyo interés no fue satisfecho con la prestación. Cada una de estas vías tiene efectos jurídicos diferentes, incluso en ciertos casos distintos términos de caducidad, pero el supuesto fáctico que las origina pareciere coincidir, generando dudas sobre su compatibilidad (si su ejercicio puede ser acumulativo, alternativo o son excluyentes).
