Laburpena: The unstoppable advance of the new technologies of the new digital era in which we are immersed is allowing more and more automation of all production processes, taking on greater prominence software and computer algorithms responsible for automatically executing previously programmed orders. In this environment of generalized automation, Smart Contracts that can be made between the parties and that have the capacity to run without third party mediation and based on the revolutionary Blockchain technology are especially relevant. The present paper intends to make a first approximation to the analysis of this type of contracting, from the perspective international private law, in order to guarantee the protection of the rights of the users.
