Ecuador is a country that has natural beauties, historical sites, among other elements conducive to tourism development, however, it is necessary to strengthen from the judicial system, policies, laws, regulations, protection of tourists and tourism as management business, in order to avoid the practice of misleading advertising that harms not only the user, but also the country, since it does not generate a positive image that is attractive to tourism.El objetivo de la investigación se centraliza en analizar la publicidad engañosa en actividades turísticas y hoteleras del Ecuador. Metodológicamente se abordó desde un tipo descriptiva no experimental. El 47% manifestó que ha denunciado la publicidad engañosa en algún organismo de control, mientras que el 53% de encuestados expresaron que no ha denunciado la publicidad engañosa en algún organismo de control.
