Children and adolescents as well as pregnant women are part of the group of people with priority attention, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador. The Childhood and Adolescence Code is the normative body that ensures compliance with the rights and duties of children and adolescents, the same that according to their needs as time passes has had to be subject to reforms.
