Regarding the rights of persons with disabilities, it has been seen since 1998, with the constitutional incorporation of the concept of "vulnerable groups", which for the first time recognizes and grants special rights to this sector of society. In 2006, the infra-constitutional labor legislation was reformed, resulting in the incorporation of some mechanisms whose purpose was to correct the limited or no socio-economic insertion of this group that statistically featured with one of the lowest employment rates, due among other factors to the social exclusion of which they were subject to due to their different or reduced capacities, the granting of rights for equal opportunities was sought through regulatory reform.Analizando las constituciones ecuatorianas vemos que el reconocimiento del trabajo como tal hace su primera aparición en la Constitución de 1906, evolucionando progresivamente hasta los tiempos actuales. Lo  relacionado con los derechos de las personas con discapacidad, ve luz a partir de 1998, con la incorporación constitucional del concepto “grupos vulnerables”, que por primera vez reconoce y otorga derechos especiales a este sector de la sociedad.
