Summary: The current essay to point out the interrelation between the field of the popular and the Gramscian theory of hegemony with the sociological theory of Pierre Bourdieu, Jean-Claude Passeron and Claude Grignon. To this end, we will carry out a historical contextualization of the position of the field of the popular in the interwar period, its transformation after the Second World War and the threshold of May 1968 and the way it is in our present. All this without ignoring the political background in the relationship between the structure and the superstructure of these reflections.
