All these aspects under the surveillance of the Constitutional Court, entity in charge of constitutional interpretation.La finalidad de este artículo es presentar al lector con algunas generalidades del sistema constitucional guatemalteco partiendo de algunas pinceladas de la historia constitucional que ha afectado a nuestro país desde la época de la colonia hasta la actualidad, para luego desarrollar de manera sucinta el sistema de control de constitucional en Guatemala y las figuras de la inconstitucionalidad en sus dos modalidades, de carácter general y en casos concretos, al igual que los mecanismos del amparo y la exhibición personal, que buscan la protección de las personas.
