The broad powers legally attributed to judges and courts to conduct the enforcement of sentences, the possibility of compensating environmental damage and the rouse of conservation banking can favour alternative enforcement and compliance of certain environmental sentences, without undermining the general interest or the principle of legality.El trabajo analiza las posibilidades legales de reconducir la ejecución de sentencias condenatorias que implican el derribo de obras, infraestructuras e nstalaciones vulneradoras de la legalidad urbanística y ambiental, y apuesta por introducir un punto de vista pragmático para modular los excesos derivados de una lectura radical de las normas procesales que, paradójicamente, produce daños jurídicos, económicos y ambientales.
