With this framework, this article aims to carry out an analysis of the 2030 Agenda to understand its opportunities, difficulties, and contradictions. The article argues that although the Agenda presents important limitations that are related to the lack of questioning structural power relations, it is a true opportunity to place sustainable development at the centre of the political and economic system and to develop policies to deal with the multidimensional crisis that affects all societies.En un mundo interdependiente y transnacionalizado que se ha configurado como una verdadera sociedad del riesgo global, la Agenda 2030 de Desarrollo Sostenible podría marcar un punto de inflexión en el trabajo por el desarrollo al proponer metas y objetivos que todos los países debieran seguir para construir un mundo más justo, sostenible y cohesionado. En este marco, el presente artículo pretende realizar un análisis de la Agenda 2030 para comprehender las oportunidades, dificultades y contradicciones que plantea en cuanto a la promoción del desarrollo humano, la sostenibilidad ambiental y la construcción de un mundo equitativo para todas las sociedades del planeta.
