Summary: This work analyzes a set of reflections on the legal treatment of archaeological heritage in Law 5/2016, on the cultural heritage of Galicia. Some concepts and terms that are foreign to the Law are analyzed and can generate controversy both in the interpretation of the norm and in archaeological practice. Some procedures and precepts that are in contradiction with other provisions of the norm itself and that may violate the legal protection of archaeological assets are also analyzed.
