Summary: This research describes what are the expectations of political communication after the pandemic. To do this, the information from the Global Communication Report (2020-2021) is considered to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of communication in Latin America, from ethical challenges to crisis management in the face of covid-19. The study considers a quantitative methodology, based on a survey of 1,683 communication professionals from 20 countries in South America, North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. In their results, 92% considered that communication was essential to get ahead in the face of the pandemic. Likewise, it is evident that 37.5% of the communicative companies were not prepared for a crisis. Finally, 38.6% consider that big data is the greatest challenge for post-covid communication.
