The research processes that support this article are framed in rural territories, mainly the processes of population and changes in the social, cultural and natural landscape that refer to clean water and management of community water systems which are considered a type of social organization for governance of water and as a social strategy of adaptation to global warming in the context of the Global Environmental Change (CAG) and the current Climate Change (CC).Este artículo presenta una perspectiva analítica acerca de la gestión social del agua en territorios rurales de Colombia —concretamente en el corregimiento de Combia, en Risaralda— desde las categorías de sociedades complejas, paisajes hídricos, dinámicas de poblamiento y cambios del paisaje.
