Summary: The health and economic crisis that occurred as a result of Covid-19 highlighted the idea that the flexibility mechanisms available to our labor law could (and should) be used for the sake of protecting workers. Although the situation experienced exceeded any expectations, the norm reacted quickly, and adapted to the changing circumstances to maintain employment as a priority action. Well, a group that received attention that would have been previously desirable was the self-employed. Although many measures were adopted in the course of the pandemic and were not as imminent as in dependent work, they have contributed to reinforcing the idea that self-employment also needed greater support. Consequently, the extension of various measures approved since the beginning of the pandemic was ordered to try to mitigate its negative effects and, over time, the adoption of other extraordinary, new aid, as well as the rethinking, in key of the future, of the dynamics of the contribution of this group. All this, it is about exposing in this work, in a synthetic way, but that highlights the most relevant evolution and changes that affect these workers.
