Summary: The paper consists of a reflection on the way in which Greek tragedy can be understood, morally speaking. In other words, what the article tries to show is that tragedy has an important moral meaning, a meaning that can be explored with the intention of enriching our understanding of the problems of human behavior that are of interest for ethical reflection. In this sense, the reading of the chosen tragedies is based on the consideration that, besides being understood in an essentially literary and artistic context, they can also be understood as sources of inquiry on human behavior, more specifically on moral behavior. It is about the possibility to enrich our current understanding of ethics and the way in which the problems that are of interest to it can also be conceived.
