Summary: After a brief introduction regarding the antecedents and evolution of public-private collaboration formulas in the exercise of inspection duties, the study focuses on some of the points that have been the subject of greater debate and analysis, such as the reasons and legal grounds of such collaboration, its nature and legal consequences, the legal mechanisms through which this type of relationship can be conveyed, or the claims and appeals against the decisions of the collaborating entities. Therefore, we haven’t mentioned various aspects such as those related to the qualification procedure, the legal regime, the remuneration of the collaborating entities and others that, given the fragmentary and excessively dispersed nature of the regulations and the limitations of time and space of the task, make their study unfeasible.
