The development and application of these matters is not uniform either, but is linked to the system of competences that our constitutional framework recognises, in a differentiated manner, to the State and the Autonomous Communities. In this line, the aim is to offer an analysis of the possibilities of legislative policy at Autonomous Community level based on the aforementioned framework of powers. In this case, special mention is made of protection of dependant persons, taking into account its special features, but without ignoring the new scope that insertion incomes and the minimum vital income currently offer.La protección social no reviste un carácter unívoco, sino que responde a un carácter complejo, con un contenido que incluye tanto Seguridad Social como Asistencia Social. El desarrollo y aplicación de estas materias tampoco es uniforme, sino que viene vinculado al régimen de competencias que nuestro marco constitucional reconoce, de manera diferenciada, a Estado y Comunidades Autónomas. Se trata, en esta línea, de ofrecer un análisis de las posibilidades de la política legislativa a nivel autonómico a partir de aquel marco competencial señalado.
