Summary: The Covid-19 pandemic, which we are still going through, presents a new panorama and many unknowns for humanity. The lifestyles of the entire population have been affected. Its effects have led to the issuance of government public health policies worldwide, which focus mainly on social distancing and quarantine of the population, which have also brought a series of psychological effects that occur in the population both personal and collective level, with children being a par-ticularly vulnerable population, which is closely related and must be studied together with their family environment. The review shows that the psychological impact of Covid - 19 on children and their family environment is given, among others, by factors such as the direct effects of the disease (Covid - 19), confinement and social distancing, greater use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and do-mestic violence. Likewise, its most frequent manifestations include depression with feelings of sadness and abandonment, emotional and behavioral regression, stress, among others. Domestic violence is capable of leaving permanent wounds in the form of deterioration in the development of the brain and the psychological sphere of children. Among the more severe effects are obsessions and compulsions. It can be concluded that the way in which parents, guardians and / or caregivers are living and coping with this pandemic affects the mental health of children. Consequently, the well-being of children depends to a great extent on the well-being with which the members of their family environment are living
