description
This paper establish the factors that prevent an affordable development of the creation of theoretical formulations from not being noticeable in Latin America. One of the great problems will be corroborated when detecting that its postulates are not as authentic as they are in other continents. And that will be due to their subordinate status concerning these countries. That reality will put them in a peripheral condition, typical of the “global south.” And what they seek be to fluctuate anti-system, socialist and localist proposals. To demonstrate this reality from the social and literary fields, a cultural analysis is undertake with the support of interdisciplinary texts, which give evidence of the oscillation of Latin American history and its cultural phenomena. The authors that were used for this investigation will be Antonio Cornejo Polar (1981; 1982; 1989), Roberto Fernández Retamar (2005), Néstor García Canclini (1995; 2004), Ángel Rama (1984), Beatriz Sarlo (1996), among others.
