It aims to promote/foster the interrogation of higher education institutions in the context of their processes for adapting to migratory phenomena, to provide evidence of the contributions (or absence thereof), opportunities, and challenges that emerge from adapting education in terms of access. As education plays a fundamental role in transforming how the migratory phenomenon is perceived, understanding how it nurtures collective knowledge construction is an opportunity to enrich existing social processes, via diversity and pluralism, in response to the migrant population’s need to be given access to rights.A partir de un ejercicio de investigación que arrojó información diagnóstica acerca de la situación de derechos de la población migrante en la ciudad de Medellín, el presente artículo tiene como propósito describir el derecho a la educación de los y las migrantes venezolanos en Medellín, desde una postura intercultural. Así, se busca propiciar una reflexión que interrogue a las instituciones de educación superior sobre sus procesos de adaptación a los fenómenos migratorios. Esto para evidenciar las contribuciones (o su ausencia), las oportunidades y desafíos que exige una adaptación de la educación en términos de acceso. La educación es un eje que aporta para transformar la mirada del fenómeno migratorio.
