Summary: Based on a research exercise that obtained diagnostic information on the current situation pertaining to the rights of the migrant population in the city of Medellín, the present article seeks to describe, from an intercultural perspective, the right to education of Venezuelan migrants in Medellín. It aims to promote/foster the interrogation of higher education institutions in the context of their processes for adapting to migratory phenomena, to provide evidence of the contributions (or absence thereof), opportunities, and challenges that emerge from adapting education in terms of access. As education plays a fundamental role in transforming how the migratory phenomenon is perceived, understanding how it nurtures collective knowledge construction is an opportunity to enrich existing social processes, via diversity and pluralism, in response to the migrant population’s need to be given access to rights.
