Summary: The objective of this research article is to describe the educational factors associated with the low academic performance of the students of the Flexible Learning Acceleration Program of the Pedro Grau y Arola Educational Institution in the city of Quibdó, department of Chocó. To do this, a quantitative methodology with a descriptive scope is used to reveal the individual, family and school factors that affect poor academic performance. The technique used for this purpose is the survey with a semantic differential of "yes" and "no" to a total of 26 students, 14 men and 12 women, who are between 10 and 14 years old. For the analysis of the information, descriptive and inferential statistics are used and the responses of the 26 students to the 14 questions of the survey are taken and, through a coding of 1 and 0, it is assessed which of the three variables is the one that comes closest to underperformance.
