Summary: The capacity of a human being to learn not only depends on his Intellectual coefficient but also on the different strategies to be used as didactic materials that are used to carry out the teaching-learning process. The objective of the study that is presented is to apply didactic material of Anatomical Pieces Treated with Glycerin to improve the learning process of the subject of Morphophysiology of the Nervous System in the students in the School of Medicine of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, "University of Guayaquil" Conducted a quasi-experimental study in which two groups participated, one of 45 students, who constituted the control group and the other, with 44 students who formed the experimental quasi; Strategies were used for theoretical, practical, teacher-assisted, autonomous and collaborative learning. A knowledge test was applied. A general hypothesis and 4 specific hypotheses were established, all of which were tested with the Mann Whitney Test U. It was proved that the strategies used improved the level of performance in the acquisition of knowledge, in the identification of anatomical structures, in the resolution of clinical problems, in collaborative work and, therefore, in improving the teaching and learning process of the Subject of Morphophysiology of the Nervous System of the students of the medical school of the Faculty of Medical Sciences University of Guayaquil.
