The protection of the environment had been subject to regulation, to a greater or lesser extent, but not the landscape, with equal importance and which should be subject to regulation, after the ratification by Spain of the CEP on November 26, 2007. After the Historical and comparative analysis of the protection of the environment, as well as the landscape, it is necessary to analyze the state and regional legislation in this regard to know how they have legislated, in particular, the autonomous communities in this regard, in addition to knowing how it is predicted that the future will be landscape law of Castilla-La Mancha, essential for sustainable development.El Convenio Europeo del Paisaje elaborado por el Consejo de Europa, aprobado en Florencia el 20 de octubre de 2000, supuso un hito en la introducción de la protección del paisaje en los ordenamientos jurídicos. La protección del medio ambiente había sido objeto de regulación, en mayor o menor medida, pero no así el paisaje, con igual importancia y que debía ser objeto de regulación, tras la ratificación por España del CEP el 26 de noviembre de 2007.
