Summary: Environmental concern is one of the most serious problems that plague today's society. Therefore, public organizations as guarantors of social stability and citizen representation, must be the first to give an example of a code of good environmental practice. Thus, the public administration should be provided with tools for this purpose, with the green procurement being the instrument to achieve it. The regulations have tried to adapt over the years, based on principles and with clearly defined objectives in the environmental struggle, to the same extent as reality and social demands, that is why it is important to know the latest developments in this regard with ecological public procurement, as the main instrument in this struggle.
