Summary: It is proposed through this review article to publicize the complex system of constitutionality control that prevails in Colombia since the beginning of its republican era, speaking from the very genesis of control in the world to find national origins, focusing especially on the control that is done through the judicial branch of public power and the mechanisms that are had in the nineteenth century, for this purpose an theorizing exercise is carried out based on a bibliographic review and concluding, with respect to the control of constitutionality in Colombia, that It is one of the most complex in the world, being enrolled in a mixed or comprehensive system that covers the entire legal system.
