Summary: The present paper will try to provide a guide on a Human Right which is not very well known but that at the moment it has a very great importance as it is the Right to the self-determination of the towns, and the fight both doctrinal and jurisprudential to determine its concept and the context of its relation with the independence movements around the world, which would imply to propose a method to maintain the balance between the application of the Human Right and the idea that its application implies immediately disintegration of the State.
