Summary: The digital economy in the mobility industry is changing traditional sectors such as the automotive industry. The evolution towards the autonomous car that goes hand in hand with the artificial intelligence raises highly complex issues such as the governance of the data generated by a vehicle. Access to the necessary data for the development of artificial inteligence is a dilemma of great relevance for competition law as it involves defining the power of the data, whether it is essential or not, and establishing cooperation mechanisms that encourage innovation in an environment of free competition.
