One of the most important aspects in the development of human beings is care in health and well-being from childhood. Oral health in this period is important, so visits to the dentist or the application of information mechanisms can allow good oral hygiene. The general objective of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program for oral health care in elementary school children of the “Aurora Estrada” School of the Tres Postes Campus during the period 2018-2019. The methodology used for this purpose encompasses the research corresponds to the quantitative approach. The results were based on the oral health of Ecuador and the results of the survey of school children. In conclusion, the knowledge and hygiene index are high because schoolchildren know the use of dental cleaning articles and the frequency with which they must do their oral care, as well as having knowledge to perceive that a lack of These can cause psychosocial problems in their environment, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of the educational program. |
