The provision of services through digital platforms is one of the great transformations experienced in the productive fabric in recent years, and is stirring up a great controversy at the doctrinal level. A new form of relocation of labour that has led to new forms also of providing services, seriously impairing the collective action of the union. This is one of the main challenges facing trade union action today, and which requires an immediate response aimed at protecting this group of workers. The necessary revaluation of unitary and trade union representation in these new forms of technological work and its necessary interpretation in guarantee key is the one that will be analyzed in the following pages.Las nuevas tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación han afectado de manera directa aspectos claves de la vida diaria y, también, de las relaciones laborales, al incidir en los procesos productivos de cualquier economía de mercado. Se habla abiertamente de que en la actualidad estamos viviendo una nueva revolución tecnológica conocida como cuarta revolución industrial. La prestación de servicios mediante plataformas digitales constituye una de las grandes transformaciones experimentadas en el tejido productivo en los últimos años, y está suscitando una gran polémica a nivel doctrinal. Una nueva forma de deslocalización de la mano de obra que ha originado nuevas formas también de prestar servicios, perjudicando seriamente la acción colectiva del sindicato. Se trata éste de uno de los retos principales ante los que se encuentra la acción sindical en nuestros días, y que requiere de una respuesta inmediata dirigida a tutelar a este colectivo de trabajadores.
