Information and communication technologies (ICTs) facilitate the permanent
connectivity of the worker: Even outside the company’s premises and during non-working
hours, the worker remains linked to the employer telematically and attentive to his professional
work. Such a constant state of alert generates risks for the health of workers: Firstly, due to
the deterioration of their breaks -which are qualitatively of poorer quality-; secondly, given the
concurrence of the technological element, as the constant use of ICTs leads to specific risks.
Following a diagnosis of the impact of connectivity on workers’ health, the study undertakes a
