The objective of the present paper is to provide the reader with an
approach on the subject of nuclear safeguards, from a legal perspective, to inquire
about its importance, legal nature, foundations of its obligation and categories in
international law. This topic, in general, has been approached from the field of
political science or the theory of international relations, fundamentally
emphasizing political factors, and therefore results from the usefulness of its
treatment in the field of law to provide a full understanding of reality through the
framework of international standards that shape and support it. Finally, we will
refer to the question of safeguards in the cases of Argentina and Brazil, the
specific issues that deserve to be highlighted as an object of study. |
