Such theme is justified due to society’s demand for a more democratic and ethical administration in which all information inherent to the State can be shared with everyone who is part of this process. Given this, we seek to understand how public transparency of administration occurs, what is transparency, how it arose, what is the main purpose of the transparency portal and finally, how the management of the information works in the government platform. To answer this question, the bibliographic methodology was used in the research, and as a result, it was possible to verify the importance of transparency and social control for a quality public administration.Este artigo visa compreender o processo de transparência da gestão pública do Estado e a sua inserção no Portal da Transparência, para que a sociedade possa ter acesso de forma clara e plena. Tal temática se justifica em função da cobrança da sociedade por uma gestão mais democrática e ética, em que todas as informações inerentes à gestão do Estado possam ser compartilhadas com aqueles que fazem parte desse processo. Diante disso, busca-se compreender como ocorre a transparência pública da gestão; o que é essa transparência; como surgiu e qual é a finalidade maior do Portal da Transparência; e, por último, como funciona o gerenciamento das informações da gestão na plataforma governamental.
