Based on this, the following research pays attention to knowing what the State’s capabilities are, in order to contribute to position management and risk planning in the country.Los desastres en Chile forman parte de su historia y naturaleza, sin embargo, la aceptación de sus condiciones geográficas y geológicas hacen necesario que el Estado se plantee como desafío la planificación y desarrollo de mecanismos de acción ante éstos. Las últimas décadas han estado marcadas por la ocurrencia de terremotos, aluviones, mega incendios, tsunamis, entre otros, dejando en duda si la Gestión del Riesgo para el Estado chileno es abordada de forma íntegra en contextos de catástrofe.
