Applying the case study methodology as well as the descriptive-analytical approach, each one of the stages of environmental conflict was described and how environmental legal education and participation have a positive impact on their development was analyzed. From the problem and its results, this paper concludes that knowledge of the rule and the legal mechanisms for participation, allow materializing the access to justice right.El presente artículo, tiene como objetivo presentar el resultado de la investigación “El origen y transformación del conflicto ambiental”, respondiendo a la pregunta: ¿Cuál es la incidencia de la educación jurídica ambiental y la participación, en la transformación del conflicto ambiental? Con la metodología de estudio de caso, de tipo descriptivoanalítico, se describió cada una de las etapas del conflicto ambiental y se analizó cómo la educación jurídica ambiental y la participación inciden positivamente en su desarrollo.
