So this article will address the Theory of Crime to explain and understand the crime its positive and negative elements: conduct and absence of conduct, typicity and atypicality, unlawfulness and causes of justification, imputability and causes of imputability and guilt and causes of inculpability, from a perspective in the current Mexican legal system, applied to criminal law in the State of MexicoEn la cátedra de Teoría General del Derecho Penal es muy importante que el alumno desarrolle una actitud crítica a través del análisis de lo que el delito es, ya que en términos generales debe conocer tres teorías fundamentales, a saber: la Teoría de la Ley Penal, la Teoría del Delito y la Teoría de las Penas y Medidas de Seguridad, fundamentales en la enseñanza del Derecho Penal.
