In this regard, the protection, storage and treatment of genetic data will be discussed, especially through biobanks; as well as the involvement of genetic medicine in the rights of the patient (right to genetic counseling and predictive tests, and the right to personalized medicine).La medicina genética o genómica es una realidad, su integración en nuestra sociedad y en los sistemas de salud es imparable. Las posibilidades que ofrece esta tecnología para el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de enfermedades son inauditas e incalculables. No obstante, el desarrollo de esta técnica supone también hacer frente a importantes cuestiones, algunas de ellas apremiantes para el Derecho.
