To this end, a total of 2,068 sanctions imposed by the local police of Gua-dalajara for conduct regulated in their ordinance of coexistence related to the consumption of beverages in public have been analyzed. The investigation pe-riod covers eight years, from 2008 to 2016. The conduct sanctioned is regulated by the Guadalajara ordinance on coexistence, which was drafted due to an in-crease in "insecurity" associated with civic problems. The city of Guadalajara was one of the first cities to approve these new models of governance, which numerous city councils in our country have been incorporating into their regu-lations in recent years, with the aim of protecting public space from uncivic be-haviour such as the well-known phenomenon of the botellón.El objeto de este trabajo es analizar las variables personales y temporales de las personas que han sido sancionadas por consumir bebidas en la vía pública en la ciudad de Guadalajara. Para ello, se han analizado un total de 2.068 san-ciones interpuestas por la policía local de Guadalajara por conductas reguladas en su ordenanza de convivencia relacionadas al consumo de bebidas en la vía pública. El periodo de la investigación abarca ocho años, entre el año 2008 al año 2016. Las conductas sancionadas vienen reguladas en la ordenanza de con-vivencia de Guadalajara, que fue elaborada por un aumento de la “inseguridad”, asociado a problemas de civismo.
