This work is conceived as a result of a larger general study developed by Centro de Estudios Jurídicos y Formación Especializada. Although more aspects are analysed in the general study, this publication presents descriptive results about the characteristics of those people who go through conditional release as well as different modalities of third penitentiary degree. The sample of this work is made up of 1.567 people who, at some moment in 2012, were in the modality of Dependent Unit, article 86.4 RP or conditional release. A descriptive study presents the different sociodemographic, personal, criminal and penitentiary variables of all these subjects. The results of this study indicate which are the lines of application of these compliance modalities in Catalonia and allow for an initial and approximate idea regarding the general characteristics of its users. |
