There is a historic milestone in the convergence of the beginning of Europe, Latin America, the modernity and capitalism with the genocide of women and oppressed populations that becomes evident through the concept of coloniality of power, which shows how this violent expansion last over time. Santiago del Estero, as a border land for capital is exposed to different forms and expressions of violence. A province where the conflict between tradition and colonial-state modernity is still current, harming people's and specially women's lives.El objetivo de este trabajo es situar al problema de la violencia contra las mujeres en un tiempo largo de la historia y dar cuenta de cómo estos procesos perduran en territorios de provincia. Consideramos que es a partir de la expansión de la modernidad capitalista que se han recrudecido las distintas formas de violencia expoliativa sobre los territorios -que no son solo tierras- y las personas. Hay un hito histórico en donde coinciden el nacimiento de Europa, América Latina, la modernidad, el capitalismo, asociado a los genocidios de las mujeres y de los pueblos dominados que se torna contundente con el concepto de la colonialidad del poder, que muestra la perduración en el tiempo de esta expansión violenta. Santiago del Estero, como territorio de frontera para el capital, está expuesta a diversas formas y expresiones de la violencia.
