This paper seeks to propose guidelines that allows arbitrators to avoid the annulment of the award due to its reasoning.El control judicial de los laudos en el Perú es, en la práctica, problemático e incomprensible. Aun cuando la ley prohíbe expresamente el análisis judicial de la motivación del laudo, en la realidad, más de la mitad de los procesos de anulación de laudo se sustentan en un cuestionamiento a su motivación. Ante esa situación, es esencial entender cuáles son los “defectos” en la motivación que hacen nulo el laudo, para no cometerlos.
