Data was collected using the information available on the websites of the studied institutions, using the specialized doctrine on the subject as a frame of reference.Este artículo de reflexión presenta la caracterización de la tipología concentrada de gestión de la defensa jurídica del Estado, ejemplificada con las instituciones gubernamentales de Chile, España y Estados Unidos, como casos representativos por el reconocimiento de sus resultados y por su trayectoria histórica. Para ello, se estudia el régimen legal de tales organismos públicos y sus principales herramientas de gestión: el recurso humano y los sistemas de información.
