The study main results point out relatively high levels of resilience and the importance to design programs focused on risk and protective factors in order to guide the intervention.El presente estudio analiza, bajo el prisma teórico de resiliencia sugerido por Grotberg (2002), las fortalezas internas, la capacidad de afrontamiento y el apoyo social percibidos de las reclusas. La hipótesis inicial sostiene que ciertas variables personales, penales y penitenciarias están relacionadas con la resiliencia. Para examinar lo anterior se adoptó una metodología cuantitativa basada en cuestionarios administrados a una muestra de internas (N = 115) de la prisión de Málaga (España).
