Summary: How does copyright apply to scientific and educational contents? This research aims to analyze the intellectual property rights system and its application in the realm of Internet and similar technological structures. The methodological approach consists of a qualitative analysis, through unobtrusive research technique. The intertwining of struggle for recognition and living lawfully theories establishes the grounds for the theoretical framework of this research. As a result, it is viable to conclude that the copyright system isn’t fit to cybernetic possibilities. Therefore, as far as the static architecture of copyright system is concerned, legal and not legal alternatives have emerged, such as, creative commons movement, open access initiative and Sci-Hub.
